Emery makes fine start to the season

Mighty Greys hang on.

The Mighty Greys gamely turned up on a chilly April day hoping for some cricket to get the season started after last weeks false start.
Some heroic efforts the day before had made the pitch playable and thanks to jmw, Ross, Mike and Jon . Raspberries to the rest of you.

Essentially the Greys chased our 150 odd but survived at 90-9 for the draw.

Batting first Hartfield made 150 the highlight an Emery 50 on a soggy slow pitch.

Chasing the greys were always up against it but managed to hang on for a draw. In the field the highlights being Liam catch, a jmw catch, Ross bowling well and Fred's lovely skippering.

A warm Anchor bar was also a bonus afterwards.

Bring on Southbourne and fingers crossed some warmer weather, although the forecast is not looking too kind.
