A great second half blitz

We travel to South Shields to play Harton & Westoe hoping for a better game than our 1-0 cup win a few weeks ago in what was a dreadful game.
Rob Hammond, Jamie McLeod and Andy Blackburn are working so Callum Short and Kieran Campbell started and Joe Osbourne return’s to the bench
Harton made a strong stat closing us down and using long balls and the first 10 minutes was like a Ariel game of tennis as we fell behind on 11 minutes we failed to clear another high ball and a shot from outside the box saw Elliot Coils unsighted and hit the post and went in it took us close on 20 minutes to get start and Cope and Clark were both just wide.

We drew level on 26 minutes a corner from the right reached SHORT at the back post and he turned it home for his first goal for the club as the home keeper twice made good blocks from Tumilty while Gardner was just over and twice Jones tried to chip the keeper as he was way of his line we were now taking control as the half ended.

We started well in the second half as the keeper made two more blocks and on 62 we went in front Jones caused chaos again and we won a corner it came over and as Short was about to shoot he was tripped TUMILTY fired home the spot kick as we were now on top and Snowdon saw an effort blocked Jones and Young Patrick Mulvey were leading the home team a merry dance and 69 minutes they failed to clear a corner and TUMILTY 30 yards out hit a great goal as Connolly replaced Snowdon then on 76 minutes CLARK cut in and his effort took a deflection over the keeper Jones then came off after a knock and Osbourne came on for him as did Green for Clark

TUMILTY then completed his hat trick a great through ball by Osbourne put him clear to fire home into the top corner it was now one way traffic as we played some great football at pace on 84 minutes Green scythed through to play GARDNER in and he fired a low drive home then Mulvey came forward and delivered a great cross for CONNOLLY to score first goal for the club in the final minute a great second half with Mulvey a class act along with Jones but a great team effort after that early scare
