Hedley Williams RIP

By Ged Murphy

Sad loss of another Vice President and friend of Hertford RFC

We are very sad to learn of the recent death of a Vice President and long term supporter and friend of Hertford RFC, Hedley Williams, at the age of 92.

Hedley was a regular on the touchline in the 80’s and 90’s supporting the team and his two talented sons Michael and Denzil and his association continued when the boys moved away to pursue careers elsewhere. His daughter Ruth is also a great supporter of Hertford and still an occasional visitor on her returns from the middle east. Our condolences go out to the three children and especially to his widow Anne.

Hedley’s funeral will be held at All Saints Church Nazeing, Thursday 12th April at midday.
