Illingworth held on to their top spot with a hard fought home win against third place Sowerby Bridge with the bowlers of both sides in the ascendancy for much of the game.

A hard dry pitch looked to be full of runs and Bridge's decision to bat first looked to be paying dividends as they reached 80-2 at the halfway stage with Josh Wood hitting 38, which followed on from his 87 the week before. The introduction of spin by the Jammy Green men paid immediate dividends with Dan Murfett removing Wood. Worse was to follow for the visitors as Aussie Murfett tormented the visitors as they lost their last 8 wickets for just 54 runs and claimed outstanding figures of 6-19 as Bridge were restricted to just 134, seemingly well short of a challenging target.

The visitors clearly didn't agree and made the ideal start with the top three Illingworth batters back in the pavilion with just 43 on the board. Stephen Cook 48 and Veryan Brooksby put on 58 for the fourth wicket and at 100-3 the home side looked to have the win sewn up but when three wickets fell for just six runs the pressure came back on the home side. Luke Brooksby 21 edged his side nearer with a few lusty blows but when he too fell it was left for skipper Robertshaw to guide his team home with 12 overs of the match remaining but only three wickets in hand. Darren Chapman (2-20) was the best of an impressive four pronged visiting attack.
