Illingworth extended their lead at the top of the Division to 18 points with a convincing 124 run win at home to second place Great Horton.

Electing to bat first, the men from the Ainleys got off to a flyer with 44 on the board in just seven overs. They were pegged back by the visitors as the home men slipped to 104-5, with both Callum Cook 33 and Stephen Cook 35 looking capable of big scores and both falling to catches in the deep. Luke Brooksby (31) and Andy Dixon (62), making his first start of the season, pulled it round for the home men putting on 98 for the sixth wicket but when both got out with the score on 202 the innings fizzled out. Zagar Anwar completed his hat trick and Illingworth gifted their opponents five overs and a seemingly well below par target of just 213, the last five wickets contributing just 11 runs.

Great Horton made a steady reply putting on 20 for the first wicket but after Jamie Moorhouse got the break through in the fifth over wickets fell at a rapid pace, three more falling for the addition of just three runs. Dominic Anderson helped bring about a slight recovery with five 4s in his 22 but when he departed wickets fell even more rapidly as the visitors fell for just 89 in only the 27th over. Great Horton had no answer to the wiles of Jamie Moorhouse who finished on 6-47 and Ben Clark chipping in with 3-8 with extras of 21 finishing as second highest scorer for the visitors.
