Leamington Hibernians Reserves 6 - 0 HRI Wellesbourne Reserves

Another convincing victory for the Reserves in their first home league game!

The Reserves looked to continue the form from their excellent result in the first game as they played their first home game of the season, vs HRI Wellesbourne Reserves.

As with the first game, Hibs go off to a slow start and couldn't create any meaningful chances in the opening exchanges. Despite dominating possession Hibs were failing to utilise the ball effectively until finally the deadlock was broken just after the half hour mark as Elliot Smith surged through on goal to slot home. 1-0.

The score remained 1-0 going into the break with Hibs coming out second half knowing they had to raise the tempo. After ten minutes of knocking on the door the Reserves finally managed to extend their lead as attacking midfielder Harry Davies watched his tame effort deflect kindly past the unfortunate HRI keeper. Hibs finally began to start playing and soon saw their lead stretch to three as long serving Hibs defender Dali Varaich headed home bravely from close range.

Man of the match Davies was really in the mood to play and soon managed to grab his second, and Hibs fourth, as he was brought down in the box before dispatching from the spot. Shortly after he completed his hattrick with a close range finish before being substituted off to great applause after a fine display. 5-0.

The reserves newfound centre back pairing dealt calmly with some late counter attacks to preserve the Hibs clean sheet before Noah Cullinan rocketed the ball into the stanchion late on to round off an excellent Hibs performance as the score finished Leamington Hibernians Reserves 6 - 0 HRI Wellesbourne Reserves.
