Second loss of the season against unbeaten Stafford Town Ladies

We played an unbeaten Stafford Town Ladies on Sunday and suffered a 4-2 loss away from home. We failed to control the game in the first half and first a few key chances on goal and could have swung the half either way, unfortunately we found ourselves 2-0 down at half time with Stafford scoring 1 from a corner and another 1v1 with the keeper. Second half we started to retain possession and play through the midfield to create more chances, we conceded another goal from a corner and another 1v1 before we started a fight back. Our first goal came in the final 20 minutes when Maddie attacked down the left to finish in the top corner from just inside the area. We failed to make the constant pressure count and couldn't find a way though again until the final 5 minutes, when a corner from Ellie was headed towards goal but the goal line clearance fell to Molly W who fired home from close range. Alanya won player of the match for her energy and enthusiasm throughout, she also controlled the game in the final stages. Final score 4-2.
