UNITED PART COMPANY WITH MANAGER

Lincoln United Football Club and First Team Manager, Terry Fleming, have parted company by mutual consent. Darren Dye, Assistant Manager, will take over as caretaker Manager until the end of the season. United have started looking for a new Manager already and hope to have someone in place during the early part of the closed season.

Lincoln United Chairman, Malcolm Cowling, paid tribute to the outgoing Manager:

“Terry Fleming has worked tirelessly for the Club since taking over the Manager’s role during the 2010 – 2011 season in difficult circumstances and within a very tight financial budget. Football, at any level, however, is results-driven and, unfortunately, we have not seen the consistent results and performances we need to support the Club’s drive for improvement both on and off the field. Regrettably, therefore, we have taken the very difficult step of parting company with Terry but we thank him for the contribution he has made and wish him well for the future.

We will now put all our efforts into supporting our caretaker Manager, Darren Dye, and the players in the four remaining games. In the meantime, our Director of Football, Allen Crombie, will be looking for a new Manager and we hope to have him in place in the early part of the closed season so that we can prepare for what we hope will be a better new season ahead.”
