4th team save the day

4th team only winners on the weekend

It was left to our 4th team to save the club from one of those weekends when all the teams get beaten.
The lads remained 2nd in the table with a 5-2 thumping of Littledean.

6 goals came in the first half with Adam Hawker and former Town player James Ryland scoring for the hosts. The 4ths hit back with 4 goals of their own before the break and added another in the 2nd half.
Among the goals for Lydney were Tom Cullinane, Robbie Turley, and Robbie Thomas with a brace. Drew Morgan completed the fine away win.

The first team went down to a solitary strike at Burnham, the Reserves were beaten 3-0 at neighbours English Bicknor and the 3rd team suffered the same scoreline at home to table topping Ellwood.
Not a great weekend by any standards but helped by our 4th team being the highest position they have been since being formed.
