Wandies Girls vs Biggar Girls

By Murray Hastie

Proud to be a Wanderer

On Sunday our U15 and U18 girls played in the first round of the cup against Biggar Girls. The under 15s went down 50-5 but have shown huge improvements throughout the season, well done girls. Under 18s managed to get the win over Biggar for the first time this season 29-22.

Message from Kirsty Fisher (Girls Coach)

Well I always said today would be a good day for Wandies. And today didn't disappoint. Both U15 & U18s played their hearts out today and emptied the tank. As a coach I couldn't have asked more of them. Games were always going to be tough with both teams having lost Twice to Biggar already this season but boy did those girls give Biggar a fright. Under 15s lost but successfully managed to achieve the goals set for them in todays game and played their best game of rugby yet. With good support and pops off the deck, some good clearance rucks (which wasn't a strong point before) and a low tackles and some strong carries they did very well n got a huge nod of approval from the opposition.
Under 18, well where do I start?? Everyone of you did your Job wonderfully and despite some mistakes you kept cool and got on with the next job.
