Boxing Day at the Eds in memory of Tim Bates

A big thank you to all who turned out in the sunshine to watch the Eds boys just beat the Cricket Club XV for the Phil Carter memorial cup in memory of Tim Bates who sadly passed away earlier this year. A large crowd watched some thrilling rugby from players old and new, many of whom had played rugby or cricket with Tim. A pitchside collection together with very generous donation from Manor Park RFC (£210), who also had a game on at Griff and Coton, raised £450 for the charity “Mind”.
