Old Gravesendians launches Youth and Mini section

After a trial year last year, with numbers rising remarkably, Old Gravesendians RFC is proud to be officially launching the Youth & Mini section for the 2017/18 season.

This will provide rugby for children that are aged 3-7 with sessions taking place on Sunday mornings at the club, led by fully qualified coaches.

All children are welcome to attend and no experience of having played rugby before or having come to Old Gs previously is necessary - everyone is welcome to come and give rugby a go.

To kick off the 2017/18 year the club is holding a launch / registration day on Sunday 3rd September at 10:00am. This will consist of a rugby session, followed by completion of registration forms. We will have the clubhouse and bar area open after training and a BBQ on the go to welcome everyone back from their Summer Holidays.

The club is covering the cost of the youth and mini section so the registration is free for all players, plus there will also be the option to buy Old Gravesendians rugby shirts at a discounted price.

Sessions will then take place from 10:00-11:00am every Sunday during school term times. All sessions are based around fun and enjoyment – developing new skills through games and rugby based activities. We have discussed the launch with the Kent RFU and they are fully supportive and we have ensured that all our legal duties to launch the section have been met.

So why not come bring you children down to give rugby a go at Old Gs - a fun welcoming family club - the more the merrier.
