A high scoring encounter against Northern league opposition, in which Percy Main led 1-0 and 2-1 during the opening period, only to find ourselves 4-2 behind mid way through the second half.
There was a superb hat trick from Matty Hayton and another summer signing Kurt Burns, weighed a goal to give us a deserved draw, while goalkeeper Shanny Backhouse made a useful second half comeback, making an impressive diving save to deny what looked like a certain goal.
A good work out for both teams on a bone hard, brown pitch at North Durham Academy in Stanley.
