Perthshire Rugby is hosting The Famous Grouse Pre-Season Challenge

Following the recent announcement that Perthshire Rugby is to host the Famous Grouse Pre-Season Challenge, Glasgow Warriors vs Harlequins on Saturday 18th August, here are more details regarding our plans, priority ticket purchase arrangements and how you can volunteer and get involved to support our fantastic fundraising opportunity.

Perthshire Rugby's Involvement

Match Day Bar

We have been invited to boost our fundraising by hosting the bars on match day. We will host the bars for all 7000 attendees at the match using our Perth Beer Festival expertise but with a small range of can-based products for ease of service and speed.

Please volunteer to support our bar service & gain free entry!

All pre-registered bar volunteers will receive Scottish Rugby Match Day Accreditation to enable FREE OF CHARGE access to the arena (worth £25 based on grandstand price) with a chance to soak up the atmosphere & see some of the game around service requirements. If you are over 18, please email info@perthbeerfestival.co.uk to register your interest. We would be particularly grateful to our players and supporters with existing bar training to get involved. We hope to recruit c.60 volunteers to support this & raise as much money as possible for Perthshire Rugby. Thank you for your support! Shift start time would be approx 11.00am.

Perthshire Rugby Priority Sales Window

Perthshire Rugby members & supporters have been offered an exclusive priority ticket purchase window. This will be from Monday 11th June – Friday 15th June. On Monday an exclusive link will be purchased which can be used to purchase priority tickets. Tickets are priced from £15 for U18 and £25 for adults in the grandstand. Disabled access is available.
General Sale will then continue from Monday 18th June.

Corporate Hospitality

We will be offering inclusive corporate hospitality packages for tables of 10 on Match Day including 3 course lunch and match ticket with seating in grandstand. If you are interested in taking a table of 10, please email admin@perthshire-rfc.co.uk to note your interest and receive more information. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Rugby Activities to Support Event

Perthshire Rugby's Development Team are working with the Glasgow Warriors Community Team to develop a programme of activities in the build up to the match and on match day.

Current discussions for match day in particular are around an invitation only Veterans' 7s tournament and invitation only Mini Tournament featuring teams from across the region to the usual Scotstoun template with finalists competing at half-time. Section Heads will be advised of any requests for specific Perthshire Rugby age groups to be involved on the day and will forward to appropriate Team Managers with plenty of notice.
