Honest summary of the development game in the Hunts & Peterborough Cup...
Everyone had a decent game, we dominated the scrum but were not physical enough at the breakdown, lineout was not up to the usual standard, and in general we just weren't as up for it as they were. Back play was excellent however we could not secure the ball and lost it due to turnovers on a couple of occasions. Phase play from us was almost non-existent however when we did it was excellent! 4 of their tries came from inexperience and silly errors, however they did score a couple of well worked tries. I believe a couple of decisions went against us but that is no excuse. The difference between the two teams at the end of the day was that we are a development team, average age of 21 (done the maths that's what I'm at uni for after all) and about 28 (gauged by the look of them ..) it will come development team!
