Friendly vs Bidborough CC
Cracking first win of the 2017 season. We put Bidborough in to bat and after a tight first few overs Bid finally got in to their stride and eventually ended up posting 234. Their Saffa scoring an unbeaten 115. Yogi did what bears do and took a wicket in each of his five overs whilst everyone else toiled with little or no reward. Was very nice to see Rob Slater renew acquaintances bowling up the hill.
In reply Frederick 74* looked classy as he and Slats scored at a blistering rate to put Bid on the back foot. When Slats fell for 43 a mini collapse nearly occurred as Boo Boo was triggered. But Yogi came in and settled the ship with a nice knock. When Yoghurt finally lost his wicket IPL Fraser McGregor came in to settle matters in quick time.
A great effort & a solid workout for all. Special mention to Ieuan who handled Rob Slater admirably.
