Redditch United took delivery of 40 brand new footballs this week after local business, Wexco, chose to donate them to the Redditch United Academy.
A mixture of Sondico red and black, yellow and blue footballs -- matching the Redditch United home and away strips -- are the newest additions to the boys' and girls' development teams' kitbags.
The kind gesture to the teams in the Reds Academy, led by Head of Development, Jamie Power, is testament to the "fantastic job" he and the team of coaches are doing to develop Redditch United's stars of the future, according to Managing Director of Wexco -- and a Redditch United director and girls under-12's manager -- Paul West.
He said: "The Redditch United Academy is an important area of the club, and everyone connected with Wexco is delighted to be contributing to help Jamie and the group of coaches.
"Having grown up in Redditch and enjoyed my football as a child, it's of great importance to me to able to put something back into the community, and I hope this gesture of donating footballs to the players of the future is a great opportunity to do that."
Paul added: "As a company, Wexco is looking forward to building a great relationship with Jamie and the coaches of the academy and watching the youth prospects develop. We hope they have great fun and prosperous sporting futures."
