It was the visitors who started the better with them managing to carve out a few chances but Shirebrook managed to keep the chances out but Shirebrook began to grow into the game with Sam Dockwray having the first Shirebrook chance of note but with 20 minutes on the clock Shirebrook took the lead when Mark Robinson was played in and he shot across the keeper and into the bottom corner but Parkgate didn’t let there heads drop and in the 35th minute they levelled the scores when Sam Ackroyd was left unmarked at the back post Parkgate finished the half strong but Shirebrook managed to make it to the break with the scores level.
Shirebrook started the 2nd half strong with Kieren Darby and Sam Dockwray both having chances but in the 59th minute Brandon Bagley gave Parkgate the lead and minutes a shot from distance forced Shirebrook goalkeeper Levi Owen into a save but for the final 20 minutes Shirebrook struggled to muster any attacks and with Parkgate beginning to waste time Shirebrook were becoming frustrated and couldn’t find a way back into the game and had to settle for no points.
