The Greens took the lead after five minutes with an excellent 25 yard dipping shot from Michael Dennis but gradually the visitors took control of the game and two well taken goals put them 2-1 ahead by the 20th minute. Rangers worked hard and had some good spells in an open and entertaining game. A neat move down the right saw Mark Hewlett-Foster ghost in behind the Walsham defence to head the equaliser on the half hour but within five minutes Walsham were ahead again converting a low cross from the left at close range. On the stroke of half time a mix up between Scott Davis and keeper Liam Francis gifted Walsham a fourth. Soham rang the changes at half time and had a good spell after the break with Hewlett-Foster getting his second for 3-4 but Walsham always had another gear and slack marking from a free kick allowed an easy finish for 3-5 on the hour. A late goal against the run of play at that time meant a slightly flattering three goal margin. For Soham Chris Munday again had an excellent game closely followed by Laurence Roffey and Mark Hewlett-Foster. Youth Development manager Gavin Stevenson felt that his side were
