The minis enjoyed their end of season awards ceremony on Sunday!

By Andrea Grant

Most players turned out dressed in smart shirts to celebrate the end of 2016/17.

This year, our Clubman of the Year, Marcus Jenkins came along to present the awards; he's seen lots of the minis as ball boys supporting the 1XV home games and thought the gesture would help with the integration of seniors and our younger players. Jack Farler assisted Village and presented the Most Improved, as one of this seasons Most Improved senior players himself.

Our awards were generously sponsored by local businesses and we'd like to that the following for their support:

Mojo Active
Anytime Fitness, Bradley Stoke
FutureStars Coaching
Holiday Inn, Bristol Filton
JJ Sports Catering

Players from each age group picked up trophies for the various categories - Players Player, Parents Player, Coaches Player, Most improved & Best Newcomer (and some a gift from the awards sponsor).
Dave Phillips thanked lots for their support throughout the season and during his time as Chair, before having over the reigns to new Chairperson Samantha Ayshford.
John Hudson was mentioned as an individual, as long as the coaches, parent representatives and club volunteers, bar staff and the parents of our young players who support them and get them to the side of the rugby pitch each Sunday!

Afterwards, each age group gathered for individual certificates to be handed out, enjoyed the BBQ and sunshine before juniors arrived to start their presentation.
