4-1 Home Win On A Unblemished Weekend for the Club
If you were to look back at previous match reports and results there has been a recurring theme throughout! We have looked back on results and the word "Nearly" has been used far to often.
However, there has been no doubt the potential of the squad is there to be seen week in week out.
Saturday saw the 1st team produce a result it is only fair to say they deserved. A disciplined performance from Front to Back saw the opposition forced into mistakes and with the composure there that we've been missing in recent games, those mistake were punished.
Three unanswered first half goals, two very similar finishes from Oliver James Hemlin & quick feet to round the keeper from Callum Campbell. Put us into a position to control the game.
The second half was much the same, as we gave the opposition little to feed off. Tireless energy in the midfield and in particular the wing backs of Samuel John & Leon Murphy saw us continue to create chances. A special mention must be given to Samuel John, showing incredible discipline and maturity at such a young age and dominating that right hand side for the full 90 minutes.
Despite a slight set back bringing the score to 3-1. Mike Rodden made his presence felt instantly after coming on as a substitute, gambling on a loose ball and nicking in in-front of the keeper to restore our 3 goal lead.
4-1 the game finished and the atmosphere around the changing room and in the clubhouse afterwards was incentive enough to continue to produce results like this.
