3-1 away win

Cup fever at Shoemakers Lane

A successful week for the Pedlars ahead of their Buildbase FA Vase encounter this coming Saturday. A three one victory away to Mulbarton Wanderers at the weekend saw the Pedlars progress to Round 3. The opener came in the twenty first minute, a misunderstanding by the keeper and defence. Joe Jackson taking advantage and pouncing on the loose ball to knock home from seven yards. Matthew Gilchrist making it two in the thirty third minute, a glancing header into the right hand bottom corner of the net from a Nick Castellan free kick. Jackson adding the final punishment on the stroke of half time, a free kick in front of goal from twenty two yards, smashed into the right hand bottom corner of the net.
Mulbarton with opportunities but fine work in the Swaffham goal by Tommy Rix, four top notch saves. Unfortunately Rix's clean sheet which he thoroughly deserved, was dirtied, Mulbarton getting a consolation with five minutes to go.
A mid week win in the First Division Knock Out Cup against Wisbech St. Mary, Danny Tindall opening the scoring in the fifteenth minute, heading home from ten yards, St. Mary equalising in the thirty second minute but Jackson latching onto an Alex Vincent corner in the sixty seventh minute was enough to put the game to bed.
The First Round Proper in the Vase this weekend away to Haverhill Borough for Paul Hunt's men, hopefully time for any injury worries to be resolved and a full squad to be available for this exciting encounter.
An incredible seven four victory for the Reserves away to Hempnall, goals from Liam Forshaw, Kieran Bruce (two) and an impressive four for Korben Willis. Clearly one for the supporters, lots of entertainment and eleven goals ! Next weekend they too are on the road, away to Aylsham Reserves.
A mid week two one defeat for the Under 18's at home to Sheringham, Sam Martin with the Pedlars goal. Away to CSF Canaries this Thursday for a mid-table clash.
Not to be outdone in the County Cup competitions, the Under 16's registered a thirteen nil victory away to Thetford Bulldogs last Sunday.
Fingers crossed that the Pedlars can continue their respective cup runs across all teams, 'Up the Pedlars'.
