Tamworth suffered a four try defeat at the hands of a well drilled Leek side who confirmed a top three finish.
Tamworth played well despite being on the wrong end of the result showing a lot of endeavour for no reward and despite still being weakened by injury at the end of what has been a long hard season stuck to their task for the entire 80 minutes and threatened the leek try line on several occasions only to be repelled by the excellent visiting defence.
This result really had no bearing on Tamworth’s league position as they have remained static in 8th place for several weeks now but with a young side can be proud of their achievements in finishing mid table in what is a very competitive league and can look forward to next season with confidence and with one eye on improving on this years finish.
