Thirsk Juniors progress to another level.

By Mike Rushmere

More young hockey players selected to attend a north PC.

Congratulations go to the following Thirsk players

Minnie Pollock,

Poppy Lawson,

Olivia Barber,

Holly Riddell,

Dan Garlick (GK) and

Matt Rayne

for all gaining a place at the newly named U15’s 2017/18 Durham Performance Centre.
Following an assessment day at Leeds in early June, these players have been selected to attend the Durham Performance Centre (PC) for the next cycle 2017-18.
These selected are the elite players in the region and have been selected purely on merit. The competition was tough with squads being limited to approximately 18 players next year (compared to 24 for the 2016/17 cycle). Minnie and Poppy being selected a year early a great achievement from them.
They will be attending the Durham PC which will be held at: Durham University, The Graham Sports Centre, Maiden Castle. Attending a number of training sessions both on an evening and full day’s and also be given the opportunity to play in the Performance Centre competitions.
All at Thirsk HC would like to congratulate you all once again on your achievement and wish you good luck at the sessions.
GO THIRSK!!
