Tigers NIHL Look To Tame Dragons

Tigers NIHL News

This weekend, Tigers NIHL face Deeside Dragons for the third time. After two defeats early on in the season to the Dragons, the home side will be all the more determined to get the win and move ahead of Deeside in the league table.

Tigers NIHL were given a boost early this week with the additions of Dale White and Joe Gilbert to their squad. Alongside the confidence of being only the second team to take points away from runaway league leaders Solway Sharks last weekend, the outlook is positive in the Tigers camp.

Tigers coach Daniel Mackriel said, "Deeside are a team who have quickly found their feet in division 1 this season and their squad has been bolstered with the addition of netminder Denis Bell.

"They've had our number each time we've played them this season, but this weekend we need to change that.  They'll be organised and hungry to gain 2 points so we need to be at our very best against them.

"We've been lucky enough to add Dale White and Joe Gilbert to the team. Both are players who will strengthen us and give us options. We've needed a couple of bodies for some time now, so we are delighted to welcome them both back to Telford."

The action takes place this Saturday 4th February at Telford Ice Rink at 5.30pm. Ticket information is available at wwwtigersnihl.com
