A second-half goal from Tom Anderson sealed the three points for Joe Keith’s men at Mayesbrook Park on Tuesday night to make it three successive wins.
The first-half ended goalless and it wasn’t until the 71st minute when Anderson broke the deadlock and gave The Dockers the points.
Despite recent wins, Joe Keith made no less than 5 changes to his line up and it was Tilbury who started well. On 10 minutes Tom Anderson crossed for Siju Odelusi who got his foot to the ball, but Chris Clark made a good save.
Barking were denied by a fine Clarke Bogard save on 19 when Billy Jones was through. Barking then had 2 good efforts cleared off the line. On the half hour a good run by Charlie Little down the right saw him weave in and out and fired wide.
Before half time Tom Anderson headed over from a Ross Gleed corner and a Barking corner saw a free header spilt by Board and then hit the inside of the post.
Tilbury got the only goal of the game on 71 when a Lewis Jagss free kick was whipped in and found its way to the far post and Tom Anderson hit home.
Substitute Rujorn Tuitt hit over from distance and Tilbury's defence had to be at its best.
In the final minute, the excellent Hussain Jaffa was Tilbury's savour as his last distance tackle saw him keep the ball out of the goal as Barking pushed hard to share the points.
The result sees Tilbury remain in 17th. Tilbury travel to Witham Town on Saturday for the final game of the season.
