Showers lead to early shower

Pitch becomes unplayable

After 10 overs of relative carnage the promised "showers" arrived and lasted long enough to leave the pitch resembling a swimming pool. Typically the sun came out shortly after the match was abandoned.

There follows a summary of the days events courtesy of Mr B:

Doogs and Mog opened the bowling and at first had the Hindhead guys playing and missing occasionally. Having spotted a weakness Doogs dropped another ball short and the opener obligingly pulled into Raoul's hands. At this point the batsmen decided to have a go and 4's were two a penny. The skipper saw the advantage of removing himself from the attack as his average was rocketing and threw Peppa to the lions, Peppa's rain dance worked and it started to spit but the water onslaught could be heard in the trees so all us little piggies squealed into the pavilion.
Just too much water fell in the short space of time which saved the home side from a mauling as they were only 85 -1 off 11.4 overs and Doogs had his dander up.

The tea was excellent, Jim Jam missing out on more cakes than you could shake a stick at provided he got to them before Wozza, which may have given us an amusing interlude. Mongo see cakes...

There is apparently no truth in any rumour about the President and one of his vices. Just because they came out of the trees well after the rain had stopped and they had visited a nearby adventure park was purely matter of fact. We have been given this information from the purest of sources said the President.
