REPORT-U8s finish Champions in Staffs County Tournament at Lichfield HC

The event took place on Sunday 12th March at Lichfield Hockey Club with 18 of our clubs younger players involved overall

Under 10's

The under 10 squad played 6 matches in the morning session where they won 1, lost 2 and drew 3 leaving them to finish in 4th place overall.

Wednesbury 0 v 0 Tamworth (I)

Wednesbury 1 v 1 Streetly (Goal scorer Keira Johnson )

Wednesbury 0 v 1 Stone ( the eventual runners up)

Other squad players :- Alfie Penn (GK), Jack Barker (GK), Georgia Archer, Jessica Whitehouse, Luke Whitehouse, Daniel Atkins, Monique Grewal, Nathan Waters and Jason Palmer.

Most matches at this age group were closely fought and one more win could have seen this team finish 2nd. Well played to everyone concerned

Under 8's

The under 8 squad played the afternoon session winning ALL of their matches, scoring a total of 12 goals and conceding none. This dominant performance saw the squad crowned as Under 8's STAFFORSHIRE CHAMPIONS.

Other squad players :- Theo Mandergu, Issac Kairo, Charlie Ship, Luke Whitehouse and Caleb Johnson

The young team played very well and throughout never looked like conceding a goal.
