9 girls featured, including 8 in the starting 15. Pride of Welwyn on display and in fine form at Allianz today in Sarries Women's win over DMP Sharks
Sarries 44-19 win over Darlington Mowden Park Sharks was their 8th from 8 games this season and despite the fact that Welwyn have had good representation in each of the previous 7 games, it must be a record in any top-flight game that a single club has had 9 players in the match-day squad. Six of the girls were in last year's Welwyn U18s.
In what was a great day for Welwyn, Cara Wardle and Helena Rowland both scored tries and there were massive contributions throughout the game by all the Welwyn girls. It was a privilege to be there and thanks to the girls for lining up for the photo after the game
