Leeds and District Cup Final - Under 17s bring home the silverware!

Bulldogs Under 17s got their just rewards for a tricky season and for sticking together when things were tough.

Not unexpectedly Oulton got off to a strong start as the Bulldogs were a bit rusty. They took an early lead with a penalty and a converted try.
Then after Ash had made a potential match saving tackle at full back he took a slick pass from Matt to score at the other end. Nathan got things level powering over from close range before half time.

A well-coached Oulton came out of the blocks strongly again in the second half but the Bulldogs defence had finally got it's act together and they couldn't cross the line despite repeated attempts from close range.

A comeback try from Billy inspired Wetherby and 2 more powerful tries from Olly and Nathan gave the Bulldogs a winning lead.

Hutch lifted the cup to the cheers of the numerous Wetherby supporters and then lifted it again when the photographer was ready.
