Your club needs YOU!

Unless you've been living under a rock, you'll have seen the havoc that Storm Eva wreaked on Yorkshire, but have you see our facilities?

The Clubhouse may have escaped the flood waters but the playing surfaces certainly did not.

The MUGA fencing has been completely destroyed and needs replacing. The pitches have been out of action for almost a month now, since the Ings first flooded at the beginning of December.

Our clubhouse needs our support now, more than ever. Because there have been no games, and no training, there's been barely any income. For over a month. Meanwhile, there is still rent, rates, wages etc to pay.

The Sports Association committee have been working hard since Boxing Day and have set up a series of ways you can help out. Starting off with the Quiz Night tonight - 8pm sharp, £2.50 per person entry for teams of up to 8, supper included. This is a regular fixture in the entertainment calendar and is always on the 2nd Friday of the month.

Tonight will be the launch of the Flood Appeal Raffle. Tickets are £2 and there a HUGE array of prizes - one of which is a signed Rhinos shirt. Tickets are available from Costa, Sweet Temptation and the Clubhouse bar - the draw will be on 19th January at the Wetherbyhour Live Event.

There's a live music night on 30th January with local indie band The Indigo Project, supported by Honey Arcade.

Also coming up is a Race Night - 19th February - further details to follow.

If you can't make any of the live events, you can donate in one of two ways:

  • Text MUGA16 followed by the amount you'd like to donate (ie, £25) to 70070 - texts cost normal network rates plus your donation - please ask the bill payer's permission!

Remember, without this building, we have nowhere to call "home".
