INTERCLUB GAME - CANCELLED

By Ian Rawlings

The egg sandwiches will have to go on hold for a week!

Despite the best efforts of the Ground staff it has been decided that due to the recent drought and the lack of water on the square Sunday's Interclub fixture has been cancelled.

A pitch inspection took place last night and both umpires were present, Messer’s Brain and Parsons, both of whom used their white umpires canes to test the depth of the water.

Percy who was knee deep still claimed that we should give it more time, but Fordy and Scouce had already taken on enough water called the game. Scouce claimed a victory as the selection process had granted him the honour of playing with Pony, and he's not been on a losing side since the good old days.

The tea has been frozen and will be reused on the upon 2nd XI fixture. No animals were harmed in the making of this tea.

Next week see the 1st XI take on Marshfield - Away on Saturday, the 2nd XI are in action on Sunday at Home to Bitton. Both games start at 1.30pm.

Where next?

SUNDAY 22nd APRIL - NETS Nets will take place this coming Sunday, 22nd April.
