With only 11 players available for Saturdays game, we were very much up against it from the off.
Within 6 minutes Newbridge opended the scoring as the visiting winger lifted his effort over the advancing Lewis Jones. In an attempt to keep the ball out, Steffan Rowlands suffered an injury which would see him leave the field moments later, leaving us with only 10 men.
However, we hit back to make it 1-1 when make-shift striker Stuart Emberton beat a few defenders on the touchline before setting up Dan Owen to get his 1st goal for the club with 19 minutes on the clock. Newbridge took the lead moments later, scoring a well struck freekick from just outside the box.
Just before half time, Barry Bellis arrived and we were back up to 11 men.
Newbridge then scored a third, a long ball forward saw the striker go through and finish beyond Lewis. 1-3
As the half continued, we started looking the most likely to score and finally we did get a goal back as Barry sent in a lovely cross for Jack Weaver to score a well taken volley at the back post. We continued to press, looking for the leveller and Barry may have secured the point late on but it wasnt to be. Final score 2-3
