ABOUT US:

Bognor RFC's Academy Colts ran 2 teams in Sussex AND Hampshire’s RFU's League and Waterfall system and finished a successful season in a very competitive field. They celebrated their seasons' successes on numerous trips to Premiership and International matches and planned an end to the 2019/20 season at Allianz Park, home of Saracens............... not just visiting BUT playing on the world famous pitch and enjoying their end of season awards in the Fez Club restaurant. Covid Crisis unfortunately ended their season early and prevented a Final place in the Sussex County Cup

Lads from the 50 strong squad took part in the London Irish, Sussex and Hampshire trials resulting in 5 players representing Sussex at U17 and 2 players representing Hampshire, HEPT (Hampshire Elite Player Training) and Irish's 1st XV's at U18.

They look forward to enjoying a return to the Colts League system and the challenges that will bring facing new teams. Their numbers have grown and we are happy to again return to the Hampshire Leagues with a Colts teams and an U19’s

The welcoming bunch of lads regularly see's newcomers and have during their playing careers have appeared at HQ (Twickenham) during the Double Header half time in front of a 70,000 crowd and we've also seen them win the coveted Chichester Observer Sports Team of the Year Award with further T.V coverage.

We make regular social trips to Premiership and International matches as well as planning a tour.

We enjoy an active social side to rugby and focus on an inclusive & fun BUT incredibly developmental side to our sport which organically produces great results for us.

They are looking forward to the continued challenges of the 15 a side game, again with the full contact they have so enjoyed over the past few seasons and to build on their success and development. With a FULL fixture list in place it's sure to be an active season with plenty of game time for ALL !

Always playing fixtures or festivals, home or away to aid their development as a growing team and as part of Bognor RFC's Player Development pathway, leading to Senior team representation in the coming years.

An introduction to current coaching staff AND Senior team coaches / players.

ALL players are invited along with ANY other boys of the same age, whether experienced or not !

We've currently got 50 players committed to next Season's Bognor Rugby Academy and will be running 2 teams in the Colts Leagues, one of the largest Colts squads in Hampshire or Sussex

• Provide quality rugby coaching for 16 to 19 year olds
• To develop all players individually and as part of a team
• To give opportunities for elite and social rugby
• To transition players into the senior teams at BRFC
