Ash United came away from Chalky Lane feeling both lucky and disappointed to have gained a point - being 3-0 up at half-time should have really sealed a win. Jake Wilson opened the scoring on 4 minutes, followed by Jack Fitzgerald on 28 mins and then Jake Wilson again on 43 minutes. However, no sooner had the second half begun, Chessington & Hook played like a team possessed. Within two minutes of the second half beginning, the ball was in the back of the net, 3-1. Thirteen minutes later and it was 3-2. Then, with only a few minutes left on the clock, 3-3. Ash United played out the final few minutes with ten men - Kieran Williams going down with an injury and having to come off, but with Ash having used all 3 subs. Either side could have scored the winning goal in those few final minutes of the game.
It would be fair to say that Ash had the better of the first half and Chessington and Hook had the better of the second half.
