Morning All U8s Parents
The Minis Festival last Saturday was a bit on the damp side, but after some parking issues everything came together, including the rugby! We had two pools of games with visiting teams from Amersham & Chiltern RFC, Bletchley RFC, Beaconsfield RFC, Drifters RFC, High Wycombe RFC and Leighton Buzzard RFC. We managed to kick off on time and were all finished before 13.00hrs, thankfully before the heavens opened!
Wow… what a day we had. All of the children played really well, probably the best rugby they have played all season against some really well drilled teams. You should all be very proud of your kids. We have always worked hard to make the games fun and it is very rewarding to see the children playing as a team and enjoying themselves.
Thank you to all the parents that helped out on the day. Our team of parking attendants had a tough time. Thank you to all the Referees from the visiting Teams all the games went really well. Big thanks to Tracy, Andrew & Phil. Cheers to Club Chairman, Paul Milham for presenting the Festival Medals. Thanks to David Louis and to all the people across all age groups involved in organising the festival.
This was the players last TAG Festival, it was nice to finish on home soil. Next season the players will be introduced to Contact rugby. I am sure some of them are already very keen to start.
We managed to field three very capable teams this Saturday, which was great, most of the players got a chance to 'Captain' their team and have the honour of instigating the '3 cheers' at the end of the games.
- Ben, Cyprian, Dexter F. Findlay, Logan A., Lucas, Oscar, Rishi & Henry
- Cai, Daniel, Drake, Hamish, Jack, Logan T., Tristan & George
