Side Gain First Home League Win

By Adam Dennehey

Barkingside defeated Tower Hamlets 3-0 at Crickleields last night, gaining their first home league win of the season.

It was a much-needed result for Alex Goldstone'soutfit who have now won their last three competetive games, keeping clean-sheets in those matches too.

Tower Hamlets started well and could have taken an early lead but Ryan Karrer saved a penalty. That proved pivotal and 'Side made the visitors pay, as goals from David Hornsby, Joe Oates and Garjay Thompson secured the three points.

The win lifted 'Side to just two points behind 19th placed Leyton Athletic, who we host at Cricklefields next on Saturday 12th January. That match kicks-off at 3pm.
