Barwell completed the double over Lynn thanks to an 86th minute goal from Jamie Towers having taken the points at Kirkby Road by 4 goals to 3 on Boxing Day.
The playing surface was challenging for both sides and the ball was bobbling which made creative play difficult.
An early effort from Peter Winn from 25 yards had Liam Castle diving to parry the ball away.
The best chance of the first period fell to Lee Stevenson of Lynn who latched onto a Jackson Ramm pass but his effort on goal was blazed over the bar from close range.
Truth be told, the match had an “end of season” feel with neither side troubling the keepers excessively and Barwell had to wait until the 55th minute before their first shot on target, which was a snap effort from Jamie Towers that was well stopped by Alex Street in the home goal.
The decider came just as the Kings Lynn supporters were getting ready to settle for the point but a through ball from Jamie Hood was dinked past the advancing Street and Towers beat Ryan Fryatt and Ross Watson to the chase and prodded the ball into an open net, much to the frustration of the home players and crowd alike.
So Barwell moved up into 7th place in the league and are on their way to their best ever finish if they maintain this momentum with just three league games left to play.
