The hosts got off to a perfect start on Tuesday night, with Liam Kay giving away a penalty which was converted by Ryan Rowe after just five minutes. Some strong defending from Craig Stanley prevented a second goal just two minutes later. This acted as a catalyst for Barwell to get themselves back into the game before the scoreline doubled.
Midway through the first half, Barwell's fight was rewarded when they were given a penalty for a foul just inside the penalty area. Ryan Robbins - looking for a confidence boost following a recent run of poor form - saw his penalty saved by the goalkeeper.
Matt Dodd and Jordan Archer continued to be the main threats for the hosts, but Barwell defended well and created chances of their own. However, this wasn't enough for The Canaries, who went in a goal down at the break.
Ten minutes into the second half, Barwell won a second penalty. Kyle Perry took over the penalty taking duties, and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner following a stuttering run-up.
On the hour mark, Barwell could have taken the lead, but Owen Story saw his drilled shot hit the inside of the post and come back out across goal, before it was cleared away from danger by a Stourbridge defender.
Josh Cooke gave the home side the lead on 73 minutes, steering his effort past Liam Castle in the Barwell net. Jake Heath grabbed the winner, but it wasn't to be in a final 10 minutes which saw Michael Townsend pick up his second yellow card of the game. He was duly given his marching orders by the evening's referee.
