The Football Education Academy is proud to announce a new programme based in Wixams, Bedford. Partnered with Bedford Town FC & SCL, our education provider, the Education Academy will enable 20 Bedfordshire based footballers to combine full time football with educational studies. The Academy provides facilities, tools, and software mirroring a professional football club to increase the player’s personal and football development.
The aim of this new programme is to engage talented year 11’s and under 16 footballers to develop core values to last a lifetime. The Academy’s primary objective is enabling young students to get qualified in a different environment, which is firmly supported by our education provider and Academy Manager, Jack Cassidy, who as well as a qualified coach holds his qualified teacher status.
The Football Education Academy guides talented young footballers on their journey as students, as they prepare for post-secondary studies and a future in football or beyond. Aimed at students aged 16+, the Academy provides academic support for pupils working towards the BTEC Sport qualification & the FA Level 1 Coaching Badge, whilst training like professional footballers every day. It has been designed for young talented players who have the desire for football, whilst wishing to pursue their football career alongside developing and improving their education.
The Academy will be a player pathway for Bedford Town Football Club.
