Stevie Robertson opened Bexhill's 2018/19 account, stabbing home from a corner 8 minutes in. Shortly after, Gabriella Beckett and Chloe Kennedy had good chances to extend the lead but were unable to hit the target. Molly Kemp saw her free-kick from the edge of the area tipped over by the home goalkeeper before the half time interval.

After the break, Eastbourne started the brighter and enjoyed large periods of possession which helped them grow into the fixture. Towards the latter quarter of the game, a formation change required Bexhill to absorb sustained pressure from the home side. Keila Tucker saved a well struck goal bound free kick and was on hand to collect a number of through balls. The hosts were rewarded for their dogged determination when they found an equaliser with the last kick of the match.
