There will be no copy of last years exciting run to the Mummery Cup Semi Finals as the Beavers were beaten 2-0 by an impressive young UEA side.
Two goals before half time did the damage, though the home side could argue they were unlucky not to get a penalty awarded for handball in the penalty area.
There were no complaints about the final result though and we wish the UEA all the best in the next round.
After a string of home games in succession, Blofield now travel to Mattishall next weekend, still looking for their first win of the season.
The Reserves managed to lose a 2 goal lead not once, but twice in their 4-4 draw with Bungay Reserves. That's now three times they have lost a 2 goal lead in 2 of the opening 3 league games which would have put them joint top if they could have held on.
They can also feel aggrieved at not collecting all 3 points as a fifth goal was originally rewarded by the Referee, who, in the face of some fairly strong provocation from the home contingent, then decided to change his mind & reward a free kick for offside.
Scorers for the Reserves were Reece May (2), Aaron Hooper and Danny Mckail. Next up for the Reserves is a home game against Beccles Town Reserves.
