Cambridgeshire League formations for 2018-19 announced

Today saw formal announcement by Cambridgeshire FA of the county league formations for 2018-19.

The 1sts will compete in the Kershaw Premier once again this coming season, hoping to build on their impressive 5th place finish last term - the first season back in the top division. Bar Hill and Ely City Reserves have gained promotion to the Prem, with Chatteris Town (relegated) and Gamlingay United (demoted) going the other way. The Reserves side of Eynesbury Rovers and St Neots Town join the league, replacing Lakenheath and Sawston United who have moved to the Eastern Counties and folded respectively.

The Reserves are in Senior B for the third consecutive season, hoping to beat their best finish of 10th place in 2016-17. Four teams have earned promotion to the division - AFC Barley Mow, St Ives Rangers, Thaxted Rangers and West Wratting Reserves - with Godmanchester Rovers Reserves the only ones relegated. Huntingdon United and Whittlesford United have gained promotion to Senior A, but no side is relegated to make way. Red Lodge have sadly folded.
