In case you are unaware, at our recent VP's Day Scottish International, Nick De Luca gave his support to the Clubs Mental Heath Awareness Campaign

Nick, is a well known voice on the rugby circuit regarding mental health awareness and as well as being a qualified Mental Health First Aid Instructor.

He commented -

"As soon as you have stepped onto that rugby pitch, side by side with your friends, you belong to the global rugby family. It is one that gives you instant connections with other rugby players and fans around the world, one that is always there for you to share a drink or pick you up when you’ve been trampled.

It is also sometimes a place where it is difficult to admit frailties and weaknesses, one where it is not easy to put your hand up and say ‘help, I’m struggling here’. Regardless of who you are and what level you play at, we can all suffer from poor mental health and it is important that we feel we have space and people to talk to.

With the lack of availability of mental health services, the work and help that places like Camp Hill RFC are doing can and will save lives. I am impressed by and grateful to Camp Hill RFC for the work they are trying to do protect their rugby family, and make our game even greater"
