Let’s be blunt: we will not be starting the 2017 season in a good place. The 2016 season was perhaps the worst in the club’s history – so we have to be determined to make 2017 very different.
The difference starts here. For 2017 we will only be fielding two Saturday league sides – in divisions 3A and 5B. So expect competition for places. That means that if you haven’t paid your subs – not just for 2017, but also for 2016 if you neglected to pay last year – you simply will not be selected.
For the third year running, subscription rates are unchanged: £150 for members over 23, £100 for those aged 17-23 in employment and £75 for those aged 17-23 in full time education (ages as at 1 September 2016). It’s really not difficult to pay them. Just use internet banking direct to CWCC’s bank account for which the details are:
Chiswick and Whitton Cricket Club
Sort code: 30-94-42
Account number: 03089089
And if you owe something for 2016, please contact Derek Hill at firstname.lastname@example.org and he will let you know how much we are asking you to pay. For those who only played a few matches in 2016 big concessions are available.
So don’t delay – please pay now. If that causes a problem, don’t ignore the matter but please contact me at email@example.com. Remember – no pay, no play.
Let’s make sure that the 1s and 2s put in really strong performances this year. It would be nice if at least one of the sides could bounce straight back from relegation. And even better if we could do that and have sufficient availabilities to run an occasional 3s for friendly matches and start the process of rebuilding the club.
