Hayward and Drinkwater bring more awards to Compton Park.

By Paul Jackson

A fantastic December for the club topped by a couple of UCL awards for the Reserves.

A big congratulations to Reserves manager Craig Hayward for picking up his second Future Lions United Counties League Reserve Division Manager of the Month Award of the season as he added December’s to the one he had already picked up back in September. It’s a double for December too as Ben Drinkwater gets the Division’s Goalscorer of the month as he bounced back from a lengthy injury lay-off to hit NINE goals in three games, three at Bugbrooke, two home to Rothwell Corinthians and then four at Raunds in our final game of the 2018. We hit six in all three of these games which is very impressive at any level of football so well done to Craig and Ben on their much-deserved awards, but also to Ben Avery and the whole squad who made this reality.

Where next?

First games of 2019 as Cooks host Rugby Town. Probably the biggest game of the weekend in the UCL as 6th plays second at Compton Park.
Boxing Day at Billing Road for the Cooks. It's a 1pm kick-off tomorrow as we make the short trip into Northampton for our local derby with O.N Chenecks.
