The Reserves return to action tomorrow night.

By Paul Jackson

Floodlit action at Daventry Town this Tuesday as Craig Hayward's side aim to continue their superb start to the season.

Their will be a few reunions on Tuesday night as Cogenhoe United Reserves make the trip to Daventry Town’s Elderstubbs ground. Daventry are now managed by former Cooks U18’s boss Andy Emery and he has taken a few lads along with him, some of them former Reserve players at Compton Park. Daventry haven’t made a good start after bringing back their second string after a few season’s absence and have lost their last two games against Desborough Town and Rothwell Corinthians, two sides Cogenhoe have already beaten this season on the league.
We remain 100% with three league wins and a League Cup success to boast, while both sides suffered the unusual scenario of an abandonment on Saturday. Cogenhoe were drawing 2-2 with Bugbrooke when a serious injury to Curtis Avery required an ambulance, while Daventry’s game at Raunds came to an early end when a freak storm saw torrential rain and hail meant the game didn’t even reach half-time. Curtis is home and confident he will be back in a couple of weeks and we look forward to seeing him pull the shirt again as soon as possible.
Kick-off at Elderstubbs is 7-45pm.
