Nomads Academy Coleg Cambria Fixtures 2018/2019 Released

Following a fantastic pre season campaign of just under 20 games and 30 plus sessions over July and August our two Nomads Academy Coleg Cambria sides college fixtures have been released.

Going into the fifth year of the scholarship programme, following being in category three and two leagues we look forward to playing the category 1 league this year and in doing so being the only college in North Wales to play in this division.

The category 2 league which our under 19s/A team played in last season will now be the league our under 18s/B side will now represent the club and Coleg Cambria in.

After four years of progression and developing our football scholarship program we are so pleased and proud that our two sides will now play their Wednesday college fixtures in the two highest league available to them.

This has been a tremendous journey by all previous staff, players, club and college over the four years to get to this point and create even more opportunities for the next generation of Nomads Academy Coleg Cambria scholars in years to come.

They will be the most challenging leagues we have ever competed in, but as a club we look forward to the great challenges, fixtures and opportunities for further development for all of our young scholarship players.

The category 2 college league which our under 18s/B side will be competing in consists of the following colleges and opposition:

Accrington and Rossendale Mens 2
Trafford College Mens 2
Myerscough College Mens 2
Riverside College Mens 1
Salford City Mens 2
Coleg Llandrillo Mens 1
Manchester College Mens 1

Along with these league fixtures and the Saturday Clwyd East league mens fixtures our under 18s/Scholars B side has been entered into the AOC National British Colleges Category 2 Cup competition, along with the Wales Schools and Colleges Category 2 Cup competition on Wednesday afternoons.

The category 1 league which has taken our scholarship program four years to get to this elite level includes the following colleges and opposition all being the main elite A sides:

Newcastle Under Lyme College
Accrington and Rossendale College
AFC Fylde
TNS Shropshire College
Fowler Football Education Academy
Myerscough College

Like the under 18s/scholars B side our under 19s/scholars A side have been entered along with this league into the AOC National British Cup competition and the under 19 Welsh schools and colleges cup competition.
