Team of the Week Announced Tuesday 28th November 2017

Following another busy week of action this weeks team of the week has been announced.

Under 8 – Owen Hughes

Really hard to pick this one as a few came very close. Owen edged it with a tireless performance out wide and then upfront showed fantastic finishing with 7 goals. (James Duff U8 Coach)

Under 9 – Harley Griffiths

In a tough game vs Crewe, Both our goalkeepers were superb making crucial saves numerous times, but Harley just shaded it this week in what was his best game since joining the club. (Craig Griffiths U9 Coach)

Under 10 – Leo Heath

After a fair few weeks out injured Leo returned with a quality performance in a very tough game against Crewe, Leo was really effective in the CDM role showing great vision / awareness and desire to win the ball with some outstanding tackles against a physical side. (Ben NashU10 Coach)

Under 11 – Jamie Davies

Jamie worked really hard this weekend both Saturday and Sunday a solid performance at the back, he show's great maturity and leadership for his age, his desire to win the ball and then link up with other's is good to see. (Jason Bell U11 Coach)

Under 12 – Corey Anderton

Corey upped his game this week and showed some good defensive qualities, he also pitched in scoring from a super long range free kick!! (Leighton Sumner U12 Coach)

Under 13 – No Game

Under 14 – Regan Jones

Another excellent performance from Regan driving the team forward from midfield, fantastic work rate, showing quality once again on and off the ball adding consistently to his game. (Dale Johnson U14 Coach)

Under 15–Oliver Cubbin

Oliver had a solid display winning all his challenges also looked to drive forward with the ball from CB . Well done Oliver . (Anthony Weaver U15 Coach)

Under 16 – Leo Sumner

Leo changed the game for us in an attacking sense when he came on creating several chances and scoring a vital well taken goal. (Iain Bennett U16 Coach)

Academy Scholars B – Jacob Barratt

Scored 4 goals, including some excellent finishes away to Preston in the British Colleges Cup. Led the line for 45 minutes on his own and was a constant outlet, both with balls into his feet, and balls in behind. Well done JacobIain Bennett Scholars Coach)

[b]Academy Scholars A– No Game

[b]Under 18 –Owen Manley

Added maturity into centre midfield and continued to do so when moved out to the wing. His efforts were rewarded with a goal in a very tough and challenging match for all. (Matt Sampson U18 Coach)

Academy Futsal Program to Kick Off this Weekend. This weekend the six week academy futsal program kicks off along with a number of friendly games for our teams.
2 Wins and a Draw for Nomads Academy in the Academy Cup Another competitive weekend of fixtures for our academy against Airbus, Fredrikstad, Preston, Crewe and Cefn Druids.
