Cropredy bounced back after their opening day defeat in the OSL Premier Division by thumping Launton Sports on Saturday. Cropredy controlled the game from the offset and had chances to take the lead but it wasn't until the 30th minute until they got the breakthrough, Dan Watkin found the net from inside the box shooting across the keeper giving the away side the lead going into half time.
The second half started as the first half finished with Cropredy dominating the play, Dan Watkin added his 2nd and soon after Luc Thornton hit the net putting Cropredy into a commanding position at 3-0 by the 60th minute. Dan Reeves made it 4-0 cutting in from the right flank he struck the ball from 20 yards into the top hand corner leaving the Launton keeper no chance. Junior Howards came off the bench with 15 minutes remaining in the game and soon opened his Cropredy account with a quick fire double. Luc Thornton then completed the rout with the last kick of the game making it 7-0.
Cropredy are in Oxfordshire Charity Cup first round action this weekend when they travel to Adderbury Park (again!) Whilst the Reserve side host Eynsham at Williamscot Road.
